Tina Turner rose to prominence in the 1960s and 1970s as a part of the musical duo Ike & Tina Turner, alongside her former husband Ike Turner. Together, they created hits like “River Deep – Mountain High,” “Proud Mary,” and “Nutbush City Limits.” However, their marriage was marred by domestic violence, and Tina Turner eventually left the abusive relationship in 1976.
After separating from Ike Turner, Tina embarked on a successful solo career, and her 1984 album “Private Dancer” became a huge international success. The album featured hit singles such as “What’s Love Got to Do with It,” “Better Be Good to Me,” and “Private Dancer,” and it established her as a solo superstar.
